Who We Are
Like many small businesses Sierra Blue Coffee Roasters started in the garage of the owner and head roaster Guy Lawrence. What was initially a hobby providing fresh roasted coffee to family and friends quickly out grew the small fluid bed roaster we started with. Following the love of the Sierra Nevada’s instilled in us from our youth we knew it was an easy choice for Sierra Blue Coffee to use this platform to support conservation efforts throughout this awesome mountain range. Meet The Team
Our Roasting Team
Owned and operated by the Lawrence family our head roaster is Guy Lawrence. Guy has been roasting quality coffee for over five years. Guy has developed a talent for finding the best quality coffees from around the world to bring to our customers. As a paramedic and fire captain at a large county fire department, serving in the Southern Sierra’s, Guy has been instrumental in the rescue and fire suppression operations throughout the region. This passion for the mountain was instilled into him by his dad from an early age. Since his early teens Guy has enjoyed skiing, backpacking, fly-fishing, and rock climbing thoughout the Sierras and now enjoys teaching that love of the mountains to his two teenage boys.
